She is doing great. We started at a new daycare this week and I think she loves it. Well, I know we do. It's so much better than the last. They teach them sign language, have arts and crafts and every week is geared towards a different country. This week is India. She even learns foreign languages. They taught her the words for Dad and Mom in Indian. So what we think is babbling may actually be her talking in another language! ha ha

We are looking forward to our trip to Illinois next week! Haley is excited to see her cousins! We are planning on having a little pre-birthday party for Maddie while we're there. Which just means we'll make a cake and watch her dig in. Should be funny!

Happy Father's Day!

This weekend marked many occasions...Dad's birthday...Father's Day for Dad, Bryan, Jason and Jeff...and Barry Manilow's birthday. I know you all are excited about that one! I am sitting all alone in a hotel in Santa Monica, CA. I am here for a promo shoot featuring Clive Pearse ("Designed to Sell"/"Design Star") and David Bromstad (winner of Design Star last year).



I'm in a very cool hotel overlooking the ocean and Santa Monica Pier. But it's just not the same when you experience it all by yourself! I'm going to meet Jenna tomorrow for dinner which should be fun! So I wasn't home to celebrate Father's Day with Bryan. But Haley is visiting for awhile, so Bryan had all his girl's around! Here are some pictures of the two blonde beauties.




I took them to get pictures made as a surprise for Bryan. Gotta love the little cheerleader outfit. I see pom poms in Maddie's future. Although she just wanted to eat them, which will not look good if she does that as a teen :)


I think they turned out really good. Especially since Maddie needed a nap and lunch. Of course Haley was the supermodel she always is. She just kept on smiling as Maddie crawled all over her! I will send everyone copies or bring them to Illinois when we visit!

Maddie Speaks

Let's see if this works! Our first attempt at posting video. So this morning Maddie said another word. We recorded it tonight just so we could have proof! See if you can tell what she says! Hint...it rhymes with a) Dad's name and b) a bad word!

Maddie Loves Water

Mom and Dad came over Memorial Day to visit us. We decided to check out this park I had heard about. I thought it was a simple park with a fountain. So we invited Maddie's boyfriend Will (along with Robin and Brent) to meet us there. As you can see from the pictures, Maddie is playing in her dress. Yeah, turns out this little fountain was actually a whole park full of water wonderland! Water sprinklers, water sprayers, water fountains. So we just let her play in her clothes and they loved it. Will loved it so much he tried to look down Maddie's dress. He'll be trouble when he's a teenager, that frisky Will :)
